    Essential fatty acids, as the name suggests plays a significant role in the body’s well being. These include omega 3 and omega 6. These essential fatty acids help in cellular development as well as strengthen the various membranes in order to maintain one’s health. They are also important for the brain and the nervous system because the insulating sheath form around the neurons (known as myelin sheath) is also formed through this. It helps in lowering down the risks of thrombosis or any other cardiovascular disease that may occur due to thickening of the blood or blood clots. It also performs its functions as an anti inflammatory and therefore important for people who are at risk of arthritis. Moreover, they also strengthen hair and nails and makes the skin healthier and supple. Essential fatty acids therefore should become part of everyone’s daily intake regardless of age because its effects are too important to be missed upon.
