May 24, 2013 Obesity effects on person health Obesity is accumulation of fat in the body that can have possible adverse effects on a person’s health. It is a problem that has hit almost every individual in every continent regardless of race, age, or climate. One of the major factors for obesity to occur is due to poor dietary habits. In this fast-paced life, the general population finds it easier to depend on more processed and easier-to-cook products in order to save more time (fast food is one of the examples). Obesity can lead to various cardiovascular diseases, cancer and diabetes mellitus (where the pancreas that secretes insulin, a glucose controlling hormone, is not produced). Furthermore it can also add to psychological problems such as depression, low self-esteem as well. A balanced diet and exercising on regular basis can greatly help in leading a fit and healthy life.
